About Us

We’re starting a national conversation about what it means to be a good man. Care to join us?

We went live on June 1, confident that the world needed a new kind of men’s magazine—one that takes men seriously.

What makes us different? Oh, just a few things…

We talk about sex without “selling sex.”

We publish daddy bloggersArmy Lieutenants, and a transgender FTM who wants desperately to be a good man.

We celebrate women (which may be why we’ve been so popular with them), and we publish women.

We talk about fathers and sons without resorting to predictable clichés.

We publish compelling features about the death penalty, adolescenceteen suicide, and addiction.

We interview interesting men (James FrancoJunot DiazDuncan Roy) who are trying to be good men.

We explore what the hell it means to be a good man, and we tackle the bad-man hype that seems to be everywhere these days.

And we laugh. A lot. Because guys are funny creatures who accidentally set their girlfriend’s hair on fire.

Can a men’s magazine that doesn’t caricaturize men prosper? Do men want to read about what it means to be a good man? We’re banking on it. And then banking on it some more. And then giving a substantial portion of our proceeds to organizations that help at-risk boys.

We’re The Good Men Project Magazine. We hope you’ll stay a while.
